Troubleshooting

1. Refresh the page.
2. Check your internet connection.
3. Update your browser. Club NYC works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari.
4. Try turning off browser extensions that block scripts or ads, then refresh.
5. Try another browser. If that works, the first one may need its cache cleared.

You’re on a phone or a small tablet. Club NYC needs a keyboard and a bigger screen, so it’s made for laptops and desktops. Use Copy or Email It to Myself to send the link to your computer, or Remind Me Tonight. If you’d like to try anyway, Try It Anyway is there too.

• Close other tabs and apps, especially video.
• Make sure your browser’s hardware acceleration is turned on (in your browser’s settings).
• Very busy places have more people to draw. Try a quieter one.

The city scales to fit your browser window. Make the window bigger, or use your browser’s full-screen mode. Zooming the page with Ctrl and + can make things blurry, so reset it with Ctrl and 0 (⌘ on a Mac).

Your connection to the city dropped for a moment. The game reconnects by itself, so give it a few seconds. If it keeps happening, check your internet connection.

We’re updating the game or doing maintenance. You’ll be reconnected automatically. Nothing you’ve done is lost.

Your sign-in expired. Click Reload and sign back in. Guests: if your browser’s cookies were cleared, the guest account can’t be recovered. Link an account to stop that from happening.

You opened Club NYC in another window or on another device, and only one can be in the city at a time. Click Play Here Instead to move to this one.

A panel is probably open. Press Esc or click its red X to close it. If Rosa’s tour is running, follow the step or click Skip Tour.

• If you’re typing in the chat box, keys type letters instead. Press Esc to clear it, or click the city.
• If a panel or a job is open, most shortcuts wait until it’s closed.
• Click the game once so the browser knows you’re playing.

• Check the Sound On/Off button on the toolbar.
• Check that the browser tab isn’t muted, and your computer’s volume is up.
• Browsers don’t play sound until you click something on the page. Click anywhere in the city.

• Did you leave early? Leaving a job with the red X doesn’t pay.
• Daily limit. Job pay tops out at 1,500 coins a day. The results card tells you when you hit it.
• ”That run didn’t count” means the shift finished impossibly fast, or its score was higher than that job allows. That run pays nothing (the card shows 0 coins). Play it through normally and it pays.
• Coins arrive when you press Play Again or Back to the City on the results card.

You’ve probably reached a daily limit. Coins start again at midnight New York time, and your scores and XP still count. Daily Limits

Check its hint in your Stamp Book: some need a specific number (like 15 pizzas in one shift), and party stamps only count while a party is on. Every stamp and how to get it

Were you at Battery Park? The seagulls are professionals. You still own it: put it back on from the In Hand section of your wardrobe.

• Guests: your New Yorker is tied to the browser you made it in. A different browser, a private window or cleared cookies starts fresh. Go back to the original browser if you can, and link an account so it can’t happen again.
• Linked accounts: make sure you’re signing in with the same Google, X, Discord or email you linked.

• Check your spam folder.
• Links work once, for 15 minutes. If it expired, the front door asks for your email again: request a fresh one.
• Typo? Click Use a Different Email.

Names are unique, 2 to 14 characters, and can only use letters, numbers and underscores. Spin the name wheels or add a number. Names also go through the chat filter. Name Rules

• You may be sending messages too fast: chat pauses for 30 seconds.
• A moderator may have paused your chat. The game tells you until when.
• If several players reported you, your chat pauses until a moderator takes a look.

Their door is closed. Friends can visit any time; everyone else needs an Open House or a public party. Add them as a friend, or wait for an open house. Visiting
