Times Square is the heart of Club NYC and where most New Yorkers start. It’s bright, loud and always busy, just like the real thing (minus the costumed characters asking for tips).

The Dance Jam

Every 8 minutes, Times Square throws a 3 minute Dance Jam. Get to the middle of the plaza and press D to dance. Dance for 20 seconds to earn 20 coins in tips and the Dance Jam stamp. All about the Dance Jam

Broadway Theater

Click Watch Tonight’s Show, then Buy a Ticket (5). You watch from the orchestra seats: the lights dim, the curtain goes up, and the cast (New Yorkers in full costume) sings tonight’s show, with the words shown above the stage. There are three shows, and they change from night to night: Phantom of the Subway, The Pizza King and Bagels!

  • Skip (S) jumps to the curtain call. Leave (Esc) ends the night at once.
  • At the end: Bravo! The card tells you what’s on tomorrow night, and offers Watch Again (5) or Back to the Theater.
  • Your first show earns the Curtain Call stamp and a Playbill to keep.
  • Click the Box Seats or The Chandelier for a bit of Broadway history.

I ♥ NY Souvenirs

The souvenir shop has tees and hoodies, caps and beanies, foam crowns and torches, snow globes, postcards and gifts, toy taxis, robots and rockets, a teddy, balloons and a little dress-up (the toys moved here from Fifth Avenue). Click a shelf to open the catalog for that section, and point at an item to try it on before you buy. The Mirror and the Changing Room open your wardrobe. How shopping works

Click the big neon sign (I ♥ NY · Photo Booth) to learn how the logo was born (in a taxi, in red crayon), then Pose Under the Neon for a photo-booth strip with everyone nearby.

Secrets to Find

  • The pigeons are listening. Try saying hello to them. More than once. More than one pigeon.
  • Smile, you’re on the big screen. Every so often the biggest billboard has a message for someone special. Keep an eye on it.
  • The welcome gift is one per New Yorker, so pick the one that matches your vibe.
