Saks Fifth Avenue
The department store across from St. Patrick’s Cathedral, on Fifth Avenue since 1924. Its catalog has three sections:
- The 10022-SHOE Floor. Loafers, boots and kicks. The real shoe floor at Saks is so big it has its own zip code: 10022-SHOE.
- Coats & Jackets. A camel coat, a trench, a leather jacket and a sharp suit.
- Jewelry & Shades. Pearls, a gold chain, a silk scarf, gold shades and round specs.
Prices run from 15 to 260 coins. Every holiday season the real Saks lights up its whole facade with a light show.
Louis Vuitton
The Paris trunk-maker, in business since 1854: Handbags, Ready-to-Wear, Jewelry & Shades, and the Boutique Desk. Everything here costs between 80 and 260 coins, and anything you buy earns the Big Spender stamp. The Velvet Sofa is free to sit on, which is the best deal in the store. Ask about the VIP staircase for an appointment (the next one is in 2029), and strike a pose with the mannequins.
