The Basics
What is Club NYC?
A cozy online New York you play in your web browser. You make a New Yorker, explore 20+ places from Times Square to Liberty Island, work silly jobs for coins, decorate your apartment and hang out with real people. Getting Started
Is Club NYC free?
Yes. It’s free to play and there’s nothing to buy. Coins are earned in the game (from jobs, challenges, stamps and a daily refill) and can’t be bought or sold. Coins & Shopping
Do I need to download anything?
No. Club NYC runs in your web browser on a computer. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all work.
Can I play on my phone or tablet?
Not yet. The city needs a keyboard and a bigger screen, so it’s made for laptops and desktops. On a phone, the game offers to send the link to your computer: copy it, email it to yourself, or set a reminder for tonight. Bigger tablets with a keyboard may work, but they aren’t officially supported.
Do I need an account?
No. Press Play Now and you’re in as a guest. To keep your New Yorker on every device, link Google, X, Discord or your email from your player card any time. Account & Sign-In
How old do I need to be?
13 or older. When you make your New Yorker we ask for your birth month and year to check, and we don’t keep them.
Can I play right now?
If pressing Play shows a Coming Soon page, the city isn’t open yet. Join the waitlist with your email and we’ll email you the day the doors open. The Waitlist
What happens when I join the waitlist?
We save your email address and may ask you to confirm it with one click. When the city opens, we email you to say so. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and we never sell your address. Privacy Policy
Is the game finished?
Club NYC is in early access: new places and features land all the time. See What’s New and Coming Soon.

Coins & Progress
What’s the fastest way to earn coins?
Jobs. A good shift pays more than anything else, and each job has a leaderboard to climb. Add the Dance Jam and the daily challenges on top. Earning Coins
Why did I stop getting coins?
You may have reached a daily limit (job pay tops out at 1,500 coins a day, and other rewards at 600). They reset at midnight New York time. Your scores and XP still count. Daily Limits
What’s the difference between coins and XP?
Coins are for spending. XP is for showing how far you’ve come: it only goes up, and it sets your level and your title. Levels & XP
Can I choose my title?
No. Your title comes from your level, from Tourist all the way to Club NYC Legend. The Ladder
Will my progress be saved?
Yes. Your New Yorker, coins, wardrobe and apartment are saved to the city as you play. As a guest, your progress lives in this browser until you link an account.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing bad. There are no streaks to lose. Your daily refill just doesn’t grow that day, and every week starts fresh on Monday. The Daily Refill
Friends & Safety
How do I play with my friends?
Open the Phone on your toolbar (or press I) to get your invite link. Friends who open it land right next to you, and you’re friends from the start. You can also add anyone you meet: click them, then Add Friend. Inviting Friends
Can I play games with my friends?
Yes. Press F and open Games for the High Line Citi Bike Dash, Rush Hour Run and Carb-Jitsu. Create Lobby gives you a 4 letter code and a link to share; friends type the code on their Games tab or open the link. Multiplayer Games
How do I find a friend in the city?

Is Club NYC safe?
We work hard on it. Chat is filtered, and links, emails and phone numbers are removed automatically. Every player’s card has Report, Block and Mute, and moderators review reports along with the recent chat. Safety & Community Rules
How do I report someone?
Click the player, then Report on their player card, and pick what’s going on. You can also block them, so you won’t see them or their chat anymore. Report a Player
Someone asked for my personal info. What do I do?
Don’t answer. Block them and report them. Never share your real name, address, school, socials or passwords, and never move a chat to another app. Keep Yourself Safe
Account & Privacy
Can I change my name?
Not yourself. Your name is set when you make your New Yorker. If a moderator resets a name that breaks the rules, you’ll get to pick a new one.
What information do you collect?
As little as we can. Guests don’t give us an email address. If you sign in with Google, X, Discord or email, we get what we need to sign you in. The Privacy Policy has the details, including how to delete your account.
How do I delete my account?
Player card (P), then the Account tab, then Delete Account… Type your name to confirm. It can’t be undone. Deleting Your Account
Is Club NYC part of New York City or any of its businesses?
No. Club NYC is an independent game inspired by the real city. It isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the City of New York, the MTA or any business or brand it pokes fun at.
I found a bug. Where do I tell you?
